Our Coaches

Kahle Bostaph

Head Coach

Kahle began her Artistic Swimming Career with the Aquettes Summer Synchro program. She fell in love with the sport. Kahle was a part of the 2010 Nation team champions. After 9 years on the Aquettes, Kahle transitioned to a coach after finishing her athletic career. She started as a coach in the Novice program. Kahle has also coached, Intermediate, Age Group and Junior programs. She most recently was Tonawanda’s 12 & Under Coordinator (2020-2022). Kahle has been coaching with the Tonawanda Aquettes for 10 years. She was an intern coach with Team USA 13/15 Team in 2021. Kahle has been a clinician for USA Artistic Swimming’s Rising Star program for the past two years.

Kahle also works as a Teacher Aide at Heim Middle School and is currently working towards her Teaching Degree.

When not at the pool, you can find Coach Kahle playing with her dog Knox.

Lexi Sandekian

Team Manager

Lexi was an artistic swimmer with the Aquettes for 10 years. She was brought into the sport by her family who were also Aquettes and coaches! During her time on the team she found a passion in Artistic Swimming - specifically being part of a team, working hard towards goals and traveling! Lexi was part of the 2015 Junior Olympics Gold Medal wining team. Lexi has transitioned into coaching to help show others the amazing things that TTA and Artistic Swimming can give. 

Lexi went to Daemen College after her athletic career and received her bachelors degree in Community Health. She enjoys being outside, spending time with family and cooking!

Courtney Nowak

Assistant Coach

Courtney swam for the Town of Tonawanda Aquettes from 1997 until 2006. She continued her synchro career at Canisius College where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Career highlights include 3x Empire State Games Gold Medalist, US Age Group Nationals Silver and Bronze (x2) Medalist, 4x ECAC Champion, and 3x Third place finishes at Collegiate Nationals.

Courtney began coaching the Novice program in 2016 and has coached Age Group since 2019.

When she's not at the pool, you can find her with her husband, John, and their toddler, Wyatt.

Madi Wall

Intermediate Coach

Madi was an Aquette for 7 years. She got her start in summer synchro and the rest is history! Madi was a part of the Aquettes national champion team in 2015 and many other exciting routines. Madi’s time on the team truly helped form her into the individual she is today and Madi hopes to help provide that same experience to our swimmers. Outside of the artistic swim world, Madi is a registered nurse in an ICU. She went to Gannon University and has her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Madi will be coaching both the intermediate and age group programs. Madi can’t wait to see what this synchro season has in store for us!

Alex McGee

Age Group Coach

Alex swam for the Town of Tonawanda Aquettes from 2007 to 2016. Some career highlights include 2015 Junior Olympic Team Champion, 2016 Junior Olympic Solo and Figure Champion, and 2016 East Zone Athlete of the Year. Alex also had the honor of being named to the USA Junior National Team in 2015 & 2016 and competed for Team USA at the 2016 Junior Pan American Games in Puerto Rico.    

Alex continued her synchronized swimming career at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas where she achieved All-American Status. She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Mathematics. She is currently working on her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at D'Youville University.

Alex's coaching career started in 2020. She enjoys helping the girls with lifts and figures. When not at the pool, you can find her playing with her dog, Ernie, spending time with her niece, Vienna, listening to music, hammocking or riding her bike.

Lizzie Sirgey

Novice Coach

Lizzie has been apart of the Town of Tonwanda Aquettes for 8 years. She started off her synchro career in 2015 when she joined our novice program. Lizzie was apart of the Aquettes 2nd place win at the Junior Olympics for combo in 2023. Outside of synchro, Lizzie is a lifeguard at the Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center and is in the process of getting her real estate license. Lizzie currently coaches our novice program and is a lap endurance coach for our competition team.

Maggie Brooks

Coach

Maggie started off her artistic swimming career in the Town of Tonawanda summer program. She later joined the novice program and then swam for the competitive team for 4 years. After finishing her time as a swimmer, Maggie was still passionate about the sport and wanted to stay connected. Throughout high school, she coached for the TTA summer and novice programs. 

Maggie attended college at RIT for Biomedical Engineering. While in Rochester she coached for the Rochester Dolphins. She now works as a Quality Engineer.

The sport has taught her a lot about herself, the community, and given her life long friends. Maggie wants to help the next generation of swimmers grow and share her love of the sport with them.

Maggie is currently studying in England for a year.
